What are the qualifications for SIJ Status?
To qualify for SIJ Status, minors must meet the following criteria:
Child must be under the age of 21 years
Must have a state juvenile (family) court order declaring that the minor has been abused, neglected, or abandoned by one or both parents
The Juvenile court must determine that it is not in the minor's best interests to return to their home country
Must be present in the US and not in immigration detention
